Wixom was born on November 22, 1804 at Hector, NY. He came to San Bernardino in 1851. In 1857 he returned to Utah, he came back to San Bernardino in 1858. Wixom was a farmer and raised cattle. He died July 27, 1867 and is buried in the San Bernardino Pioneer Cemetery.
